[Solved] How to Type Arabic numbers in MS Word 2010

Even if you have enabled the Arabic keyboard input and Arabic font, you cannot type Arabic numbers in Microsoft Word 2010. Then how to type Arabic numbers in word? In this article we are going to explain about English to Arabic numbers in MS Office 2010.

Reason behind this Article

One of our company branches located at Saudi Arabia (Dammam); today one I.T guy called me and asked How to enable Arabic numbers in MS Word? He already enabled Arabic fonts and keyboard input and he can type Arabic in word but numbers are not in Arabic format. So I guide him to follow these steps.

How to Type Arabic Numbers in MS Word

Step 1: 
First you need to input Arabic language. If you already enabled the Arabic Unicode input, you can skip this step.
Go to Start>> Control Panel Then change View by to Small icons

Now go to Region and Language,

In the Region and Language window select the Keyboards and Languages tab, after click Change Keyboard. In the Text Services and Input Languages window click Add.

Then expand the appropriate Arabic language and select the language and press OK

Now the keyboard language added in your computer You can change the input language by press and hold Alt key then press Shift keyor select manually from the Language bar.

Now Arabic language is ready to use
Step 2: 
Now let’s see numbers in Arabic language,
Open MS Word Then go to File>>Options, Word options window will appear.

In the word options go to Advanced area scroll down to the Show document content section – you will find the Numeral option. Set it to Context.

That’s all now you can write Arabic numbers;
